Today we went to the Schneider's to help celebrate Cate's 3rd birthday. Wes always says, "It's not a fun party unless there's a pinata". So, he went to town whacking at the pinata. This was his first time hitting a pinata, instead of just doing the pull string. He gave it a couple good hits, but no candy yet.
Will knocked poor Dora's body off and proceeded to hit her while she was down. It was really funny, but still no candy. We then tried the pull strings and eventually Mike had to rip her open to get the prizes out. Wow, they make these pinatas strong.
Everyone sang happy birthday to Cate, then got to work eating their cake. Wes had fallen at school a few days earlier and had a huge scab on his lip. When he ate the cake with the green frosting it stained his scabby lips and I didn't have to heart to scrub them because it hurt him too much. So, Wes spent the rest of the day with a green scabby lip until the scab fell off the next day. He's a true boy.
