We were at a restaurant tonight, they gave Wes a blank piece of paper and some crayons, and this is what he drew. This is the first time EVER that he has drawn something that actually resembled something real. The first time he has drawn something on his own that wasn't just a scribble. This is a big deal because, this seemed to be an area where Wes was lagging behind. He has never had any interest in coloring. I would try and sit down to color with him and he would only want to watch me draw things. He also was having a hard time putting enough pressure on the crayons to make any meaningful markings on the paper. I have seen great strides in his papers that he has been bringing home from preschool, but this really took me by surprise. He didn't need anyone's help to show him where eyes and arms and legs went. He just sat down and drew a person. Then drew several more. He drew everyone at the table and even put glasses on Grandma and Linde, "with the little things on the side", he said. I'm really proud, even though he gave me a GIGANTIC head.
