The Heartbeat

We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat today at my 12 week appointment! It sounded good and strong and fast. Wes and Nate came with me, but Daddy had to work. Thank goodness for technology, because we were able to record it on my iPhone for Daddy. We decided to pay Daddy a visit at work, so he could hear his newest baby's heartbeat and show off his boys. I also got to meet my new doctor for the first time and I liked her a lot. I'm glad I was able to find someone I like so well, so quickly. Thank goodness for the recommendations from friends.

Bradley...I Mean Axle

Adam and Jaime got home from their honeymoon and Jaime wasted no time getting her wedding present from Adam. A new puppy! Adam sent us a picture over email that said, "Meet Bradley". When they came to dinner on Thursday, we were all (especially Wes) very excited to meet Bradley, except his name is actually Axle. No Adam, you are not allowed to name Jaime's dog. We think that Axle is much more fitting and goes with Sid much better. Wes loved Axle and chased him all over the house.

Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Lofgren

It was finally time for Adam and Jaime's wedding! Look at that handsome brother of mine. He cleans up pretty good, huh? We were very honored to have our whole family in the wedding. I was a bridesmaid, Chris was a groomsman, and Wes and Nate were ring bearers.

Here are the handsome guys that I love most in the world.

We bought itty bitty tuxedos for Wes and Nate for the big day. Those boys in tuxedos are the cutest things I have ever seen.

It was fun to get everyone all dolled up for the big day. I was very happy that I still fit in my dress at 10 weeks pregnant, I was worried that it might have gotten a little too snug.

I got all teary taking these pictures with my little brother. We've been through a lot together growing up. He's grown in to such an awesome man and I'm so happy for him that he has found someone as lovely as Jaime to spend the rest of his life with. We owe everything we are to our awesome mom, who struggled and sacrificed to give us a good life. I believe and hope that we make her proud and somehow justify all of her struggles. It is moments like Adam's wedding that make me reflect and well...get all teary.

The beautiful married couple! I met most of the girls at Dolce Salon in the morning to get our hair done. We then headed over to the hotel to meet the rest of the girls and get ready. Everyone looked beautiful, but Jaime was the most beautiful of all.

Our new family! Jaime has been a member of the family for several years, but now it's official. Wes was going around happily saying, "Jaime is my aunt now".

The mother and son dance. So cute!

Wes had so much fun at the wedding and was a dancing machine. He danced all night long and I danced a lot of it with him, so I was totally exhausted by the end of the night.

Everyone thought he was hilarious. He danced with anyone who would oblige him and showed off several moves. One of the moves he named "the kickbutt", which is pretty self explanatory because it involves bending over and moving one of your legs back and forth so it looks like you are kicking your butt. There were several break dancing moves and a laying on your back while spinning around and playing the air guitar. What a character!

Nate was pretty tired by the end of the night, when I tried to get a cute picture of him in his tux. I took his Nuk out of his mouth to take this picture, and this is what I got. Doesn't it look like he's saying, "Why I oughttaaaa".

We had such a fun day and night. What a fun, beautiful wedding! All of Jaime's hard work paid off. We all went home and collapsed from fun exhaustion.

The Rehearsal

The night before Adam and Jaime's wedding we had a nice rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. My mom planned the dinner at Grimaldi's in North Scottsdale. They have awesome pizza and it was the perfect relaxed, but nice setting for Adam and Jaime. I helped mom have these baby pictures of Adam and Jaime blown up to display at the dinner. Aren't they cute? They are going to have babies with the most beautiful blue eyes! It was a really nice night but unfortunately, I don't have any pictures because I discovered the next morning that I left my camera under my chair at the restaurant. I called them right away and apparently someone took it! Argh! It is so maddening when people aren't honest, but what can you do. I tried not to let it get to me, so I could enjoy the wedding. I am grateful that I didn't lose too many photos.

Our Little Peanut

We had our 8 week appointment and ultrasound today. It was fun to see our little peanut, even if it only looked like just that...a peanut. Everything seems to be going great with the pregnancy so far. We were able to see the heartbeat on the ultrasound, which is a good thing. I started at my new doctor's office and I like the staff very much. I didn't get to meet the doctor yet, but the nurse practitioner was very nice and the nurse/ultrasound technician was very kind and super thorough. All the information seemed a bit much only because this is my 3rd pregnancy, it would have been really great if it were my 1st, but I still appreciated it.

Meet Tan

Tan is Wesley's imaginary friend. Not the kind that "sits" at dinner with you or gets blamed when naughty things happen around the house. He's the kind that Wes texts, emails and calls from his pretend cell phone. Tan lives in Mexico. You get to Tan's house by going left, left, left then right then left then right and it's the house with the red roof. Unfortunately, as much as Wes likes Tan we never get to meet him...because he lives in Mexico. Though, one time apparently Tan and his Mommy got to the park where we were playing, just as we were pulling away. Imagine the luck! Oh, and it seems that Tan's Mommy allows him to do quite a few things that Wesley's Mommy does not allow.
