Wes has had a very big week in the area of all things potty. Now that he is a big boy and uses the potty all the time, his life has been opened to a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to the potty.
On Tuesday this week, while we were at Red Lobster celebrating Michael's graduation, Wes had to use the potty. Daddy took him to the men's room and let him use the urinal. Pretty exciting stuff! Chris said it was kind of a challenge because he isn't quite tall enough yet, and he pronounces it "urnal".
Wednesday, I decided we were done with the little potty. Wes has been mostly using the big potty, because we have 3 bathrooms in our house and only one of them has the little potty in it. He also has gotten a lot of practice while we are out and about. He had to use the bathroom while we were near his bathroom and I told him to use the big potty and asked if he thought he was big enough to not have to use the little potty anymore. Of course he said yes...anything to be a big boy. So, we got to say goodbye to the little potty, and better yet, goodbye to the cleaning of the little potty.
Thursday, we were out on our normal Thursday play date with friends at a park when Wes had to go to the potty. This park doesn't bathrooms, but luckily has a Port-a-Potty, so I whisked him off for his first Port-a-Potty experience. Later that day I asked him to tell Grandma where he had gone potty that morning...in the "potty in a box" of course!
