Wesley did his Christmas shopping at the dollar store again this year. He matched and folded socks all morning for me, in order to earn his allowance for Christmas shopping. Then, we headed to the dollar store, where he chose a gift for each of his family members. I was quite impressed with his thoughtfulness when picking out the presents. This is what he chose for everyone:
Nate - toy army helmet
Ellie - animal baby book
Daddy - wiffle balls
Grandma - hand sanitizer
Linde - mystery novel
Adam - duct tape
Jaime - romance novel
Michael - spatula
Liz - flower stickers
Chris - post-it notes
Lucy - animal baby book
Jack- crayons
Mike - wiffle balls
Papa - pro wrestler biography
LouLou - microfiber cloth
When we got home, he helped me wrap everything and wrote his name on all the gift stickers. He really enjoyed this whole process, even more than last year, and was very good at keeping everyone's gift a secret. When Christmas came along, amazingly, he was almost more excited to give everyone the gift he chose for them, than to open his own presents...almost.
