Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, I had a coupon for a free admission to the Arizona Science Center, so we decided to head over there. None of us had taken a ride on the light rail yet, so we thought it would be fun to park at Central and Camelback and take the light rail to the Science Center.

Wes and I on the light rail, doing Wes's "blue steel"pose for the camera. His is much better than mine.

We had never been to the AZ Science Center before and had lots of fun exploring. Here, Nate is trying out a baby experiment where there appears to be a huge drop off, but there is a piece of clear plastic all the way across. You are supposed to put the baby on the solid looking part and see how many tries it takes them to figure out that they can walk or crawl all the way across. It only took Nate one try. The first time, he tried to get down on his hands and knees and crawl down in to the drop off, but the second time, he figured out there was no real drop off and walked right across. That's my little dare devil.

Here, Wes tries out laying on a bed of nails. We all had to give this one a try. We had a great time and will have to go back again some day. We just had to promise Wes will not go into the "weather room" again. He got a little freaked out by the video with loud noises that showed all kinds of extreme weather.

That evening, everyone from both families came over to our house for fajitas. Chris made fajitas for all the moms, with some help from Chris Petroff and Papa, and they were very yummy. Everyone was quite impressed and it was fun spending time with everyone.

Happy Mother's Day Mommy! I love you!

Thank you to Chris and my boys for a fun day! I sure am a lucky Mommy!
